The second Ammendment


The 2nd amendment is a right, but the reason should also include education/responsibility. As a society, we don't issue driver's license to anyone until state required/mandated training conducted and the person is considered competent. A gun permit should not granted until a citizen has completed a basic handgun course or something along these lines. We feel the NRA FIRST Step course is a great way to promote gun safety. The more we train, the safer we are. Tell your friends and relatives who own guns that safety begins with instruction and practice.

Training Tip



As a working professional, your face is shaved, or lipstick is on. You look professional in your dress. You are about to have that second cup of coffee before leaving suburbia and confronting another day of have not’s a long way to work, and their perception of you has a have. Are going to take one second to do a complete function check of your weapon before placing it in a concealed holster? You wouldn't want a malfunction today Now, would you?

Book of the Week



Camping and Woodcraft, A handbook for vacation campers and for Travelers in the Wilderness. By Horace Kephart




Kephart published this book in 1906 and later a 2 volume set in 1916-17.

Even after almost 100 years of equipment improvements, Kephart book still contains the best advice I have ever read on living in a semi-primitive state. Kephart learned from Mountain Folks who were only a few generations from their pioneer ancestors. Anyone thinking about survival while staying comfortable should have this book in their personal library.

At PSA, all students will train with site alignment and site picture. In real situation, you will use no sites but rather point and shoot. When engaging in man on man combat, you are either quick or you are dead.

Gun Owners







Today, I wished to define who gun owners are, but more importantly who gun owners are not. Gun Owners are like most traditional Americans are destiny thinkers and yes, destiny thinkers come in all genders, sizes, races, creeds, etc. Gun Owners are not non-destiny thinkers who look towards government or an institution for help in their daily lives. Non-destiny thinking is subjugation of the individual’s will or a person’s destiny. Non-destiny thinking desires to classify and define the perceived injustices of this world. Non-destiny thinking would have us believe that youth is the cause of maturity, maturity the cause of old age, that the bud is the cause of the full-blown flower, the caterpillar the cause of the butterfly. Large bodies of work belong to this type of thinking in the western tradition: Hume, Bacon, Schopenhauer, Hamilton, Spencer, Mill, Bentham, Locke, Holbach and Descartes. All of whom are way out of my intellectual league. So, I will leave you with this question: Was that unknown minuteman who fired that first shot on the Lexington green a non-destiny subjugated pawn or a free man of destiny willing to die because a government taxed his favorite breakfast drink?


Most Gun Owners believe from the bottom of our hearts: All problems are can be solved between our ears. We want to solve the injustices of this world by starting within one’s self, one’s family, one’s neighbor and community. These are my thoughts: What’s yours?

Smokin’ Joe Frazier lost his battle with cancer this week. He was a childhood hero of mine as much for the man he was as well as being a great all time boxer.  I wish to remember him as the man who gave dollars to Caius Clay and later stoically accepted racial taunts from Mohamed Ali. Joe Frazier was a great Southern Gentleman.v

Dept of the Army Field Manual FM 21-150, Hand to Hand Combat, June 1954.
Carrying concealed is NOT the ultimate protection system and should not be considered unless you are under the threat of death or serious bodily harm. You need to think of your personal security in term layers. One of these layers should be should be a form of self defense. FM 21-150, Jun 1954 was publish after WW 2 and contains only the techniques that worked against arguably America’s greatest enemies on the conventional battlefield: The Germans and Japanese.
All self-defense techniques require practice and more practice. Most importantly, the techniques in this manual can get you hurt and cause legal trouble if applied improperly. Hi, my name is Scott and I’m a Gun Owner recovering from extreme Socialization

Last week I defined gun owners as people who think regarding destiny and take charge of their personal lives. I don’t mean for anyone to think non-gun owners are the not people of fortune. My view is everyone’s life unfolds, and destiny revels to them individually and culturally, non-gun owners included.  For example, if Napoleon had not had Carnot as a Minister of War, then, France would not have invaded Italy, and both France and Napoleon would NOT have embraced their destinies, but instead left their futures to fate. Fate and Destiny are opposites. Fate is outward incidents which classify and define a single moment in a much more significant cultural framework. Destiny comes from within one’s soul.  Your gut tells this is the right thing to do or you feel the same rhythm as the neighbor does on a given issue. Think of it this way: A lesser man as France’s Minister of War would have played it safe and buried Napoleon’s bold plan to invade Italy in a filing cabinet. Thus, France and Napoleon would be up to the fate of the Crown heads of Europe.  Every person has to decide if they want their future’s directed by someone else or themselves. It’s difficult to be a person of destiny in a Society with the weeds of rationalism, materialism, and usury all around you, but we are Amer I- CANS and a destiny mode living can be achieved if we will see it to be.  Have gun will travel

Hi,my name is Scott and I'm a Gun Owner in recovery from Western Civilization

Many of my more liberal friends can’t get their minds wrapped around the second amendment. And yes, I have liberal friends whom I value uncommonly much. They are just misguided, and they say the same about me. Most conservatives and liberals alike believe that seizing the apparatus of power- government, army, police, press; education- guarantees the continuance of power. I think this type of thinking is a political non-entity.  All of America seems to believe this now from small town USA to Washington. In philosophy, we have become a materialist and cannot understand that visible facts are only the manifestation if invisible spiritual movements.
To the extent that we have become materialistic in our religion and philosophy, we are non-revolutionary.  Our ancestors who fought the American Revolution were wholly non-materialistic and revolutionary, being entirely dominated by feelings, and always acting from their opinions. Our ancestors were Americans first and political partisans second (gun owner or non-gun owner alike).  Change still comes from within, and no entity can gain enough control of a government apparatus to change a spiritual world-view of people. While political parties can obtain a temporary victory, their victory is short-lived if their actions go against the will or spirit of the people they govern. While the impulse to own firearms may be waning for some members of society, it’s alive and well for those of us who feel the rhythm of the second amendment.   Have gun will

A familiar exposition of the Constitution of the United States by Joseph Story

 Joseph Story wrote this with the idea that the everyday working man would have knowledge of the Constitution and use it as a reference guide. No gun owner should be without this book. While the language is cumbersome, the information is as timely today as it was in Judge Story’s day.

Living in twilight of the American Empire

Early one afternoon a man knocked on a woman’s door and claimed to be there to check on the roof damage for an insurance company. As soon as he was inside, he punched the woman and knocked her to the ground. The woman broke free in the ensuing struggle, and the suspect followed her into the bedroom. She managed to fight off the suspect and claw her way to her pistol. As soon as she had the pistol in her hands, the man fled the area. (Ashland Times-Gazette, Ashland, OH) (08/06/11)
